Dr. Jannis Bischof

Professor Govindarajan, who often goes by VG, is considered an expert on strategy and innovation around the globe. He has the honor of being the first Professor in Residence and Chief Innovation Consultant as G.E. While there he co-authored ‘How GE is Jannis Bischof joined the University of Mannheim as a Professor of Accounting in 2015. His research addresses the role of disclosure and transparency in the financial sector and other settings, the regulation of financial institutions, and managerial discretion in reporting decisions. He is Principal in the TRR (SFB/Transregio) 266 Research Center “Accounting for Transparency” and Research Fellow at the Leibniz Institute für Financial Research (SAFE). He is member of the EFRAG’s Financial Instruments Working Group and has consulted, among others, the European Parliament on IFRS endorsement. He is member of the Editorial Board of several international journals (Accounting and Business Research, Business Research, European Accounting Review, Journal of Business Economics).

Stefan Reichelstein, Ph.D.

As of 1 July 2018 Prof. Stefan J. Reichelstein is the chairholder of the endowed chair in business administration. He previously studied economics at the University of Bonn and managerial economics at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he graduated with a Ph.D. in 1984. During the last 30 years he held several positions at international universities such as Berkeley and Stanford. In light of his research accomplishments, he received several honorary doctorates from the University of Mannheim in Germany and the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, as well as an honorary professorship from the University of Vienna.   

Dr. Jens Wüstemann

Jens Wüstemann joined the University of Mannheim in 2000 and holds the chair of Business Administration and Auditing. He earned his PhD from the Goethe University, Frankfurt / Main and visited Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Stern School, New York University and ESSEC Business School in Paris. His research focuses on accounting theory, national and international accounting, business valuation, as well as corporate governance and auditing, which are examined using both normative and empirical methods.
