Transcripts

Besides considering your grade point average (GPA) from every college or university you’ve attended, they will also assess your field of study, the mix of communication (referred to as “poet”) and quantitative and analytical (referred to as “quant”) courses you’ve taken, and the overall trajectory of your grades. It’s important to note that students from IU (Indiana University) are exempt from submitting an IU transcript.

GMAT or GRE

Kelley students with a minimum GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) are not required to submit GRE or GMAT scores.

Foreign Language Requirement

For international students whose first language is not English, taking the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is mandatory. It’s essential to review the admissions requirements specific to your degree program to find out the required test and score criteria.

1 Recommendation

To ensure that Kelley is the right fit for your degree aspirations, they require recommendations from individuals who are familiar with your academic and professional achievements. You need to provide the names and email addresses of two recommenders who can offer insight into your capabilities and character.

Essay Description

    How will your professional experience, when combined with a Kelley MBA degree, allow you to achieve these goals? Should the short-term goals you have identified not materialize, what alternate career paths might you consider? (500 words)

    Resume

    This is an opportunity for you to showcase who you are beyond just your test scores and GPA. In your personal statement, you can share your personal journey, leadership experiences, and career aspirations. The statement should be between 500-700 words and allows you to demonstrate your writing skills and communication style. Make sure to submit your personal statement and resume in PDF format.

    Academies

    Meant to bring together theoretical practice in the classroom and practical application during an internship or career. Students select an Academy based on their future career goals and interests. Students can select an Academy that focuses on their industry of choice or related to their major. There are 6 first-year Academies to choose from which prepare MABers for long-term and internship success. Those who are interested in advancing their leadership skills can join the second-year Academy for Leadership.

    Certificate Program

    Students in the Fulltime MBA program can refine their field of study further by selecting a certificate program. These program teach students the skills to master today’s most challenging problems and find innovative solutions now and in the future. There are three certificate programs to choose from, including: Global Business Achievement, Product Management, Social Entrepreneurship

    MBA PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    The full-time MBA program at Kelley is designed for students who want to grow professionally and have a lasting impact. Students participating in the MBA program learn about themselves in an effort to become impactful leaders who are guided by introspection and innovation. They learn self-awareness as they learn teamwork and team-building skills, from giving constructive feedback to achieving long-term goals. Upon graduation, students become a part of the world’s largest business school alumni, 120,000 people strong who all possess the necessary leadership skills and guiding principles they gained during their time at Kelley.

     

    First Year

    The first year at Kelley kicks off with a 2 week intensive team-building course called Me, Inc. For incoming students without a business background, a program called Jump Start offers intensive courses which teach the business core concepts necessary to succeed at Kelley. During the first year, students participate in core courses designed to prepare them for their next two years. Students learn from class projects requiring engaged teamwork and hands-on approaches like the ‘First-Year Academy’ where students learn functional skills necessary to lead with competence and confidence. Interested students can choose to major or minor in an additional course of study to deepen their understanding and broaden their skills.

    Second Year

    During the second year, students continue to refine their leadership skills. By participating in a ‘Real World Academy’ students work on a project that has real impact to companies in the industry of their choosing. Students also have the option to participate in a ‘leadership academy’ where they learn further leadership skills and apply them with a hands-on approach.

     

     

    Philip L. Cochran

    Professor Cochran is the Thomas W. Binford Chair of Corporate Citizenship and a Professor of Management. His expertise is in corporate social responsibility, leadership, business ethics, corporate governance, corporate philanthropy, Stakeholder theory, and Corporate Strategy. He is well-published, with his publications appearing in the American Business Law Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and many more. He earned his MBA, MA, and PhD from the University of Washington.
