Director of Marketing

Apex GMAT is a global, boutique test preparation firm focused on the MBA applicant pipeline and GMAT exam. We are currently seeking an experienced marketing director to lead the organization’s marketing ventures and grow the Apex brand. This involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen company market presence, maximize revenues and thrive in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement an annual marketing plan and a calendar of campaigns.
  • Create annual marketing financials, including expenditures, research, ROI and profit-loss projections.
  • Oversee the entire spectrum of digital marketing and content strategy, including PPC, SEO, SMM, CRO & Email Marketing.
  • Supervise the marketing department; plan, direct, and coordinate all marketing efforts.
  • Support lead generation efforts; explore new methods to grow our customer base.
  • Develop partnerships within the graduate management industry.
  • Maintain knowledge of the competitive space and seek opportunities to increase market share among premium firms.
  • Research product demand to develop offerings in key markets.
  • Work closely with management and across departments.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years proven experience in marketing, including managing budgets.
  • This is a remote position, preferably based in timezones from London to Dubai.
  • Ideally an existing network of media and industry relationships in education
  • Professional and proactive work ethic with the ability to lead others successfully.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to speak English fluently and idiomatically.
  • Google Workspace:
  • Ability to maintain, update and add campaigns as well as create reports and extrapolate decisions in Google Adwords,
  • Ability to query data, conduct backlink research, keyword tracking and find and update other potential areas of improvement from Google Analytics and Google Console. 
  • Use key programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud for projects including: Illustrator, InDesign. Premier Pro is an additional advantage.
  • Fluency with Social Media, including creating a content strategy and running post boost and remarketing campaigns.
  • Maintaining a consistent Youtube posting schedule, and optimizing video description, titles, keywords for SEO. Reviewing the video analytics, responding to comments and testing methods to grow the subscriber list.
  • Experience and understanding of WordPress for blog posts, SEO, updating web pages, A/B testing to achieve better Client responsiveness.
  • Industry specific knowledge such as experience or familiarity working within graduate management education or in test preparation is strongly preferred.
  •  Any experience with Conversion Rate Optimization or UX/UI design is an advantage.

Key Competencies:

  • Data analysis: The role calls for continual analysis of market trends and the positioning of competitors. This includes analyzing PPC, SEO and customer behaviour and experience metrics.
  • Strong project management and people management:  The marketing director guides the department’s day-to-day operations, including recruiting and supervising team members while being accountable for project success.
  • Leadership and influencing: This is a creative role; strong communication skills are vital. You will report directly to upper management and articulate your vision and ideas. This role also involves networking and representing the organisation to external stakeholders.
  • Enjoys Learning: You’ll need to keep abreast of marketing innovations and incorporate them into the company’s marketing strategy. We’re in a period of rapid expansion, and we’re constantly experimenting with novel techniques.
  • Independent Worker: This is a high-impact role; it is important to be disciplined and to provide thought leadership. Bottom line growth will depend upon your ideas and implementation.
  • Tech: Comfort in the digital space and ability to learn new software and platforms.
  • Aesthetic/Design: A good eye for aesthetics and design. Ability to demonstrate creativity, develop concepts and graphics and make aesthetic judgements.

GMAT Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a candidate with a strong GMAT score and a desire to grow professionally in an elite test preparation environment.

Requirements:

  • A score of 700 or greater on the GMAT and a desire to improve to 770+.
  • A passion for teaching and engaging personality.
  • Native or fluent English with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Flexible schedule, as many clients require evening or weekend appointments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a GMAT teaching assistant in online tutoring sessions, primarily in a one on one setting.
  • Respond to client emails and questions out of session to support the learning process.
  • In conjunction with the Curriculum Director create and publish original, high quality GMAT content.

Marketing and Communications Intern

We are currently seeking a Marketing/Communications Intern to assist our team with daily communication and marketing procedures.Please note that this is a part-time position, which can be managed from anywhere in the world. It can progress into a full time role if executed well.

  • Content creation, design
  • Creating content for GMAT/MBA books and other client facing materials.

Engagement Manager

Job Description:

ApexGMAT is a global, boutique GMAT test preparation and corporate coaching firm. We are currently seeking an Engagement Manager to coordinate our team and support our daily office procedures. Please note that this is a full-time position, completely remote.

Requirements:

  • Native or fluent English with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in coordinating schedules over multiple time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly on the telephone.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Preferably based between GMT – GMT+3 time zones.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software as needed. (MS Office, etc)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments between staff and clients.
  • Prepare and monitor client invoices.
  • Actively support the sales pipeline using a CRM.
  • Make and answer phone calls with prospective and existing clients.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as internet research, typing, printing, etc.
  • Assisting marketing and curriculum departments administratively as needed.
  • Book travel arrangements.
